Nestled in the heart of Oslo, Aker Café is a space where slow mornings meet long evenings. We believe in the ritual of a perfect cup, the warmth of an unhurried meal, and the pleasure of a well-poured glass.
Born from a love of Oslo's waterfront and a belief that every great day deserves a great cup, Aker opened its doors in 2019 with a simple vision: a place where morning rituals become moments, and evenings stretch a little longer than planned. From the first coffee to the last glass of the night — we are here for all of it.
Three principles guide everything we do — from how we source our coffee to how we greet our guests.
We work exclusively with producers who share our commitment to craft. Every bean is sourced with intention, every dish made with care.
Aker is a neighbourhood café at heart. We know our regulars by name, support local suppliers, and believe in building something lasting.
We have no timers on our tables. Whether you stay for one coffee or three glasses of wine, you are welcome to take your time.
The interior was designed with warmth in mind — exposed brick, warm lighting, and furniture that invites you to stay just a little longer. Every corner of Aker has been thought through so that whether you are working alone or gathering with friends, you feel at home.
We open early for those who need the city's best flat white before it wakes up, and we close late for those who find that evenings are always too short.
On weekends, the space transforms subtly — the music gets a little warmer, the wine list gets a little longer, and the kitchen surprises with seasonal specials that don't appear on our regular menu.
"The best conversations happen over coffee — the second best over wine." — Aker Café, Oslo
